Etiquette Dinner

So for YW/YM combine activity we decided to have a etiquette dinner. I was a little nervous about this because I was told that the last time they did this the youth were not very well behaved( that's putting it lightly). So knowing how they acted the first time we decided to try a few things different. One we had Kathryn come and talk about how to be etiquette(they did this last time but from my understanding they started serving before the person started taking) after she had been talking for a little bit then we started to serve. Another thing we did different was we invited couples form the ward to come we also had place cards for each person. So we were able to put at least one couple per table. I think this helped the youth act better. One of the couples that we invited was our stake Patriarch. At the end of dinner we had him talk for a few minutes about the importance of patriarchal blessings, then the youth were able to ask him questions about patriarchal blessings. The youth were so well behaved! I think the evening was a huge success. We had an awesome kitchen staff that helped dish up food and do dishes(yes we used real dishes for all 68 of us and three courses) the kitchen helpers were the best so thanks everyone!!! I guess the main reason this was such a big success was because everyone worked together!! So thank you everyone!
