The Run Down

Wow a lot has been going on. Where to start? OK I will start with Ben's B-day and what we did.(There was no school this year on his B-day or the day after.) The morning of his B-day I decided it would be fun to go to the zoo and see all the baby animals. So I suggest that to the kids and everyone is game except Ben. So I ask Ben, "What do you want to do for your birthday?" He answers. "I want to hug you and snuggle with you and call you GEORGE." I tell him OK then do that. So he does. Then I say what do you want to do for your B-day? I want to go bowling. So that's what we did. We went bowling and of coarse I forgot the camera oh well the kids had fun. I always let my kids choose what they want for dinner on the night of their B-day so Ben choose Pasta Pizza. It is a really yummy family recipe. You can find the recipe here.(http://encredibleediblies.blogspot.com/2009/01/pasta-pizza.html) So there you have it the things we did on Ben's B-day.

On Friday the day after Ben's B-day my parents decided we were all going to the ZOO! I was excited for this seeming how I had just been mentioning it to the kids. So we went to the Zoo and had a wonderful time.(I will try to post a slide show latter.)

On to Saturday it was conference week end. So earlier in the week I decided to make the kids a conference packet. I was so excited about how much they could learn with this packet. It was a large packet but their is 4 sessions of conference. I debated if I should print all three kids packets on my computer or if I should print one packet and then go make copies. Well I seeked out Tom told him how long the packet was, asked which would cost the least, and what should I do. I followed his advice. I was printing them all off at home. In no way did I or him think it would take a WHOLE ink cartridge. Yep you heard me right a Whole ink cartridge. I took a deep breath and said to my self oh well they are printed. So Saturday morning comes and we are getting ready to watch conference and I give each kid a packet and they all say what about bingo, where is the candy? I say to them I made this Packet instead of bingo(I here moaning and groaning) So I quickly add but who ever finishes this packet will receive a large candy bar on Monday. So I think they are all excited conference starts and behold to my surprise the only one that will do the packet is Rachel. the boys could care less. So what did I learn NO MORE PACKETS we are big enough to just listen at this house.

Bear with me the weekend is all most over. On Sunday was Isaac B-day it was also day two of conference. Isaac is so easy going he had no special request for the day except what we ate for dinner.I know he loved his presents. We got him a BYU hoodie and a fishing licence. And a few other small things. For his dinner he choose the same thing he chooses every year RIBS. He loves the things. He also choose mashed potatoes. Because of Toms diet restrictions I had not made mashed potatoes in who knows how long. It tasted so good. It was a great day/weekend/Thurs./Fri./Sat./Sun.(I will post a slide show latter)
